One of the foremost pleasures that Berlin has to offer, Café Anna Blume is an absolute must for the traveler with a sweet tooth. The café encompasses a flower shop, a restaurant and a dessert wonderland and regardless of what you like to nibble on, you can be sure that a trip to Anna Blume will see you coming home with a new favorite or two. Ideally situated in the heart of lush Prenzlauerberg, Anna Blume offers patrons the opportunity to kill time on their ornate terrace while snacking on a slice of unbeatable cake and watching the locals saunter by. One could try to describe the incredible (!) cakes Anna Blume offers, which vary on a daily basis, but this is a situation where words truly fail to capture the glory of something. The rhubarb cake is particularly scrumptious and chocolate lovers will adore the Schokolade Sahne, a chocolate cream cake that will have you proposing after the first bite. The specialty drinks will leave you smacking your lips, just be careful not to combine a slice of Schokolade Sahne with Anna Blume’s intoxicatingly sweet Heisse Schokolade (hot chocolate) as the combination will leave you positively comatose. What’s the best part of it all? Café Blume stays open until 2 am so you can snack well into the night!
